The Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah

Al Qasimia University signed yesterday, at its headquarters in Sharjah, with the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, represented by the Cultural and Media Office, a cooperation agreement based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah and President of Al Qasimia University, the need for cooperation between institutions with common goals in all fields. The agreement was signed by Dr. Rashad Salem, Chancellor of AlQasimia University, and Saleha Obaid Ghabish, Head of the Cultural and Media Office of the Council.

The agreement included enhancing joint cooperation in the field of training university students and training them on work skills in the field of media and communication and editing skills within specialized media courses and workshops, in order to provide opportunities to interact with actual media staff, assigning some tasks to trainees to enhance their level of qualification and refine their skills and provide practical and technical expertise in the fields of culture, media and technical consultations, and benefiting from the academic and practical expertise of faculty members at the university faculties at the level of planning, designing and implementing media awareness and development campaigns, to serve the community, and to address its various issues, and cooperation in the field of studies and research of scientific media development, especially public studies that can be implemented by the Faculty of Communication at the university for the benefit of the Cultural and Media Office - The Supreme Council for Family Affairs by benefiting from the research expertise of faculty members.

The agreement stipulates that the Faculty of Communication at Al Qasimia University shall cooperate with the Cultural and Media Office - Supreme Council for Family Affairs to conduct periodic surveys to measure the public's views on the programs, media contents or future plans for development provided by the Office, and work to activate the role of the Emirate through media activity, through conducting media studies and consultations that contribute to development, exchanging advice, consultations, technical assistance, support and institutional development in the fields of knowledge in general and media in particular, and disseminating concepts, skills and applications of creativity and innovative thinking, and cooperation in organizing conferences, workshops and specialized seminars.​
