Dr. Rashad Salem stressed the importance of the memorandum of understanding within the framework of the roles of Sharjah International Airport Authority in supporting the economy of the Emirate of Sharjah and its efforts in development in an integrated manner, explaining that the agreement would enhance the joint work between the university and Sharjah International Airport Authority to serve its provisions in enriching aspects of student training and the preparation of research and studies.

The Chancellor of AlQasimia University stressed that research and scientific cooperation is one of the most important aspects that AlQasimia University seeks to provide its expertise in this field as it is a leading scientific edifice in the Emirate.

He added that "this memorandum serves the strategic objectives of the university, which requires partnerships with major institutions that work to develop the level of performance and consolidate the thought of partnership and its important role in institutional work. It also comes in support of the university's efforts to support the objectives of the two parties and activate them, especially in matters related to development and student training in the fields of economic studies and public relations." For his part, His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa said, "The signing of the memorandum of understanding and cooperation with AlQasimia University comes within the framework of the Authority's efforts to strengthen community partnership and continue excellence and advancement in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council - Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in parallel with the comprehensive development movement witnessed by Sharjah Airport in all aspects, especially that AlQasimia University has scientific expertise and competencies that can be used in various aspects of work, especially in the media and knowledge field."

He added that "supporting creative and innovative skills and benefiting from expertise comes within the strategy of Sharjah Airport Authority, which continuously seeks to develop work mechanisms to enhance the competitiveness of the airport on the local, regional and global arena in line with the vision of the wise leadership through coordination with various authorities, departments and governmental and private institutions in the Emirate."

He also pointed out that Sharjah Airport has made great and solid progress between regional and international airports, which will determine the nature of cooperation and prospects that we will work on with Al Qasimi University and with various partners during the next phase.​
