In order to enrich the cultural, intellectual and artistic life, Al Qasimia University has built a large theatre that can accommodate more than 550 people. It is equipped with the latest lighting and sound systems, simultaneous translation, and a control room. It is an excellent choice in which you can hold conferences, seminars, meetings, public lectures, closing ceremonies, national events, and theatrical and cultural performances organized by the university or its colleges and various academic units. It also contributes to supporting communication between the university and the community as it hosts many events and educational and awareness programs for many official institutions.
The theatre annually hosts activities such as the annual international conference of Al Qasimia University and events like announcing Al Qasimia International University Award for the Qur’an and Sunnah. The theatre also includes a number of halls that can be used to carry out training courses and workshops.
The theatre building also includes majalis for VIPs; one of them is for men, and the other is for women. Ramadan gatherings organized by the university are held there, and the meetings of His Highness with the faculty members of the university are also held there.
The theatre building has a number of show rooms equipped and designed for art, cultural and scientific exhibitions.
Al Qasimia University Theatre is a landmark in hosting and supporting cultural and civilizational events in the university in particular, and in the Emirate of Sharjah in general.
It is worth noting that the university has a number of small theatres to hold events for a limited number of participants, including: the library theatre, which can accommodate approximately one hundred people, and the theatre of the Islamic Manuscripts House, which can accommodate approximately fifty people.
