Attempting to enrich the cultural, intellectual and artistic life, Al Qasimia University constructed a huge 550-seat auditorium. Equipped with the latest sound and lighting systems, simultaneous interpretation and a control room, the auditorium is planned to hold conferences, symposia, meetings, public lectures, closing ceremonies, national events and occasions, as well as the theatrical and cultural performances hosted by the University or any of its affiliating colleges and different academic entities. The auditorium contributes, as well, to supporting communication between the University and the society through hosting a number of events and educational and awareness programs for many official institutions.
Annually, the auditorium holds, among many others, the events of Al Qasimia University Annual International Conference, the events of Al Qasimia University International Award for Holy Quran and Al Sunnah. With a number of annexed rooms, the auditorium is able to host training courses and workshops.
The auditorium has also reception halls for dignitaries; one for men and another for women. Ramadan's meetings organized by the University are hosted in these halls, and so are the meetings of HIS HIGHNESS SHEIKH DR. SULTAN BIN MOHAMMED ALQASIMI with the University teaching staff.
The auditorium is further equipped with a number of galleries suitable for organizing artistic, cultural and scientific exhibitions.
Al Qasimia University Auditorium is actually considered a landmark in supporting the cultural and civilizational formation in the University in particular and the Emirate of Sharjah in general.
It is worth mentioning that the University has a number of small theaters specialized for holding events with limited numbers of participants, like the 100-seat library theater and the Islamic Manuscripts House theater that is spacious enough for about fifty persons.
