In this conference, the two universities, through the College of Shari’a and Islamic Studies at Al Qasimia University and the College of Islamic Studies at Al Wasl University, seek to achieve the following:
- Clarifying the role of Shari’a sciences in civilized, intellectual and social development, emphasizing their ability to keep pace with developments, providing Shar’i solutions and alternatives that are consistent with contemporary reality, in a process of continuous endeavor to reform and refine it.
- Rooting the continuous relationship between Shari’a sciences, the evolution of different environments and the diversity of their needs.
- Monitoring the interactive movement between Shari’a sciences and contemporary reality with its trends.
- Drawing features, limits, and controls for influence between Shari’a sciences and contemporary reality.
- Diagnosing the obstacles that may prevent the Shari’a sciences from keeping pace with reality and ways to overcome them.
- Evaluating of the interactive movement between Shari’a sciences and reality by specialists in the light of contemporary developments.
