In response to the major strategic transformations taking place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the field of the Islamic economy—particularly following the launch of a series of pioneering national initiatives and policies that have firmly established the UAE as a global hub for Islamic finance, the halal industry, waqf and zakat, and financial innovation—this conference seeks to highlight the UAE's distinctive experience in advancing a knowledge-based economy and promoting sustainable finance.
Inspired by Al Qasimia University's (AQU) vision in Sharjah as a global academic institution that harmonizes the authenticity of Islamic scholarship with the openness of contemporary research, and driven by its commitment to addressing pressing contemporary issues through rigorous academic inquiry that combines scholarly grounding with innovation, the conference will serve as a distinguished international platform bringing together leading scholars, researchers, experts, and practitioners from around the world.
The conference will examine the legislative, institutional, and developmental dimensions of the UAE's pioneering experience and analyze the impact of its strategies on promoting economic growth both nationally and internationally.
