The University determines the annual number of admitted postgraduate students based on the recommendations of Department and College Councils, in line with capacity and accreditation requirements.
2. General eligibility for admission to the Master’s degree. An applicant must meet the following requirements:- Hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a field that qualifies the applicant for the intended specialization, unless admitted outside the original field under Clause 5.
- Submit two academic recommendation letters.
3. Minimum GPA and academic standing:- For admission, the applicant must have obtained at least a “Good” classification in the bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 out of 4.0 may be admitted on a conditional basis in accordance with the Graduate Studies Council regulations and the decisions of the Ministry of Higher Education.
- The Graduate Studies Council may, upon the recommendation of the Department Council, impose additional admission requirements as deemed necessary.
4. Department-specific requirements. The applicant must satisfy the admission requirements set by the relevant academic department. These may include, where applicable, an interview, an assessment test, language requirements, or other program-specific conditions
5. Admission outside the applicant’s original specialization. An applicant may be admitted to a Master’s program outside the original field of specialization upon the recommendation of the relevant Department and College Councils and the approval of the Graduate Studies Council
6. Bridging or remedial coursework. The relevant department may require the applicant to complete remedial courses as a condition of admission to the Master’s stage, provided that such coursework does not exceed two academic semesters
7. Admission decision and notification. Admission is granted by decision of the Council based on the recommendation of the Department’s Graduate Studies Committee:
The Dean shall notify the applicant, the department, the college, and the Admissions and Registration Department to complete the admission procedures.
8. No concurrent enrollment. A student may not enroll in two postgraduate programs at the University at the same time
9. Deferral, withdrawal, interruption of study, transfer, cancellation, and reinstatement. The Graduate Studies Council regulates deferral of study, withdrawal, interruption, transfer, cancellation of registration, and reinstatement. This is subject to a decision of the Department Council, and the approval of the Graduate Studies Council

- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Admission is competitive and based on ranking among all applicants.
- Submitting and completing the application is an initial step for receipt of the file and does not constitute final admission.
- Priority is not determined by the time of submission.
Required Documents for Admission to Master’s Programs at Al Qasimia University:- Attested bachelor’s degree certificate.
- Official academic transcript or a certified statement of courses taken during the bachelor’s stage, showing grades and credit hours.
- Attestation of certificates by the competent authority, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the issuing country, and the UAE Embassy in the issuing country.
- If there is no UAE Embassy, attestation may be completed through the Embassy of an Arab state operating in that country.
- Where degree equivalency is required in the UAE, the applicant must provide proof of equivalency or evidence that the equivalency process has been initiated, as required by the University.
- Employer approval to enroll in the Master’s program for applicants inside the UAE, where applicable.
- Two academic recommendation letters from faculty members, preferably from the applicant’s graduation department, or as required by the relevant department.
- Valid Emirates ID for applicants inside the UAE.
- Legal translation of foreign certificates into Arabic or English and attestation of the translated documents as required.
- Legal translation of the passport into Arabic and attestation of the translated copy by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the applicant’s country and the UAE Embassy there.
- A completed application form with all required information.
- A copy of the applicant’s passport valid for at least two years.
- Twelve recent colored personal photographs (3×4) with a white background.
- A valid police clearance certificate issued by the country of the applicant’s nationality for new applicants coming from outside the UAE, confirming good conduct, with legal translation into Arabic and English where required.
- A copy of the birth certificate or an equivalent document, with legal translation where the document is not in Arabic or English.
- A medical fitness certificate issued by a government hospital in the applicant’s country confirming the applicant is free from infectious diseases, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the issuing country. The certificate must have been issued within the last three months.
