Master’s Scholarships

Scholarship Eligibility and Conditions:
Applicants for master’s scholarships must meet the following eligibility requirements and comply with the applicable regulations.
  1. Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree awarded outside the United Arab Emirates must obtain official degree equivalency from the competent authority in the UAE.
  2. The cumulative bachelor’s GPA must be no less than 3.0 out of 4.0, or its equivalent. The relevant college council may set a higher minimum GPA where program requirements warrant.
  3. Scholarship recipients must be fully dedicated to full-time study for the duration of the program. They must also undertake duties as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the university in accordance with the governing policies and procedures.
  4. Prior to commencing study, recipients must obtain the necessary approvals from the competent authorities in the UAE for employment in the capacity of Research and Teaching Assistant.
  5. Nomination for the scholarship is subject to the approval of the relevant academic department council, based on the approved selection criteria and competitive ranking.
  6. The College of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research approves the final list of primary and reserve candidates.
  7. Recipients must comply with all academic regulations, institutional policies, and applicable procedures throughout the scholarship period.
  8. Continuation of the scholarship is conditional upon maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0, or its equivalent, or the minimum threshold set by the College of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
  9. Applicants must submit a detailed curriculum vitae, supported by relevant documentary evidence, as part of the application.
  10. Applicants must satisfy any additional requirements determined by the academic program or the funding body. Such requirements will be announced when the application cycle opens.

General Provisions
  1. Applications that are incomplete or fail to meet the published requirements will not be considered.
  2. All applications are assessed competitively. Meeting the eligibility requirements does not constitute a guarantee of award.
  3. The University reserves the right to amend the scholarship conditions or suspend the scholarship scheme in accordance with approved regulations and institutional needs.​
