The Sharjah Center for Islamic Economics (SCIE) was established at the University of Sharjah in 2014 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammed AlQasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. In March, 2021, upon His Highness’s directives, the center was relocated to Al Qasimia University, in line with his vision to establish a Sharjah-based academic center for Islamic economics with a global mission.

SCIE aspires to become an international reference point for digital Islamic economics and finance, in line with the rapid advancement in advanced technological applications for global economic progress.
