Principles of Institutional Effectiveness
The principles of institutional effectiveness followed in the university include the following:
  1. The main goal of institutional assessment is to improve the educational process in all programs.
  2. Assessment is a continuous and recurring activity where responsibilities are assigned and delegated to relevant entities. A timeline for review processes and report preparation is regularly established.
  3. Assessment at all levels is a continuous and credible process. It is effective, systematic, appropriate, and guided by professional ethics.
  4. Institutional assessment focuses on the cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of students, making it a comprehensive evaluation.
  5. Assessment is conducted in all programs that support learning.
  6. Faculty members are responsible for assessment activities in their programs, and the results of their assessment efforts should impact planning and budgeting. Responsibilities for each component are assigned to specific individuals or committees.
  7. Assessment results are used to enhance programs with the aim of improving the educational process. They should not be used to evaluate individual faculty members or determine admission criteria or student grading.
  8. Assessment is integrated into administrative structures, governance, institutional planning, and budgeting, each with its own managers, committees, faculty, and administrative staff responsible for assessment in different units.
  9. Assessment becomes a part of academic departments, programs, and supporting academic services.
  10. Faculty and administrative staff are continuously provided with educational information about assessment.
  11. Program review is a crucial and essential process for both faculty and administrative members.
