In honor of Emirati Women's Day, Al Qasimia University hosted a special event featuring Ms. Salha Obaid Ghabish, Head of Cultural Office at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. The event, titled "The Journey of an Emirati Woman: Ms. Salha Obaid Ghabish as a Model," was part of the university's ongoing commitment to celebrating the achievements of Emirati women and highlighting their significant role in society.
Prof. Dr. Awad AlKhalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, welcomed her to the university.
This event was one of a series of activities organized by the university to support community initiatives and honor inspirational figures.
It was attended by Ms. Ahlam Bin Jarash, Assistant to the Chancellor for Female Student Affairs and several members of the university's academic and administrative community.
During the event, Ms. Ghabish shared insights from her educational and professional journey, highlighting the pioneering experiences of Emirati women over the years. She emphasized the crucial role of the UAE's leadership in supporting and encouraging women since the country was founded. She discussed how the leadership has empowered women, enabling them to make significant contributions to the nation's development and progress.
Ms. Ghabish also spoke about the evolution of Emirati women's roles over the years, underscoring the leadership's continuous efforts to empower women and provide them with opportunities to achieve great accomplishments. She noted that Emirati women today are vital in driving the country's development.
The event concluded with an interactive session, where the speaker answered questions from the audience and shared personal experiences and challenges she faced throughout her journey. She also expressed her gratitude to AQU for inviting her, acknowledging the university's efforts to support and celebrate the achievements of Emirati women.
