The Department of Economic Development in Sharjah signed a memorandum of understanding with Al Qasimia University, as part of its efforts to promote economic development in the emirate. Under the agreement, the two parties work to enhance cooperation in economic studies and consultations that contribute to the development of the emirate's economy, the exchange of technical advice and assistance, and support and institutional development in knowledge, in general, and human and economic development in particular.
Through the MoU, the Department seeks to strengthen cooperation in organizing conferences, workshops and specialized seminars that discuss the latest developments and best practices in areas of common interest.
The Memorandum was signed by its Chairman, Sultan Abdullah bin Huda Al-Suwaidi, and Dr. Rashad Mohammed Salem Chancellor of Al Qasimia University.
