His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and President of Al Qasimia University, witnessed yesterday morning at the university building the signing of a cooperation agreement between AlQasimia University and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).
The signing of the memorandum comes in recognition of the University and the Organization to enhance cooperation and consolidate joint work in the educational, scientific, cultural and intellectual fields to serve both parties.
The agreement requires the implementation of joint projects, programs and activities in the fields of education, higher education and scientific research, the training of academic frameworks in various disciplines, and the organization of seminars, meetings, training courses and workshops in the educational, scientific, cultural and intellectual fields.
It also provided for the development of curricula and scientific research in various fields of knowledge by providing the necessary means and assistance, translating and publishing them, and allocating scholarships and seats in colleges and affiliated departments to benefit a number of students and researchers at various university levels from the children of the Islamic world.
The agreement was signed by Al Qasimia University Chancellor Dr. Rashad Salem, and ISESCO Director General Dr. Abdulaziz bin Othman Al-Tuwaijri.
